A long time ago (2005), I was browsing the internet, and my entrepreneur heart came across a Bridal Consulting Certificate from Professional Career Development Institute. Knowing I would one day get married, and would have friends doing the same, I thought it might be a fun way to spend some time (and some of my educational money from my grandparents). I completed the course in record time and fell in love with wedding planning.
Soon I was launching my first ever company, Shoestring Weddings, based on the belief that every couple deserves a beautiful, meaningful wedding; One without the stress, the overwhelm or the budget panic. However, this was when the internet was still really young, before Pinterest or Instagram and Facebook was still outranked by MySpace. (Tom, we’re sorry we left you.)
This caused my first business pivot (something I’d get really good at over the next 20 years) and I spent the last 13+ photographing weddings in the Pacific Northwest and Nationwide. Trust me when I say, I’ve seen it all, fixed it all and re-pinned a boutonniere or two in the parking lot.
So here we are, bringing all that behind-the-scenes magic and offering virtual and in-person Shoestring Weddings coordination services for couples throughout Western Washington. I’m your new wedding-bestie and here to handle the logistics while you soak up the love.
