A Rockin’ Bridal Session with Wai-Ching Studio & Seattle Bride Hair | Tacoma Wedding Photography

Dawn Padgett is one amazing woman. She’s a hair & makeup artist in Tacoma, owner of Seattle Bride Hair and it just so happens, she’s been put in charge of my hair for our HallowStein Wedding this year. Leaving my hair and makeup in her capable hands means I have one less thing to worry about when it comes to wedding planning. In Spring of 2016, she had a vision for a rock-n-roll styled bridal session under the cherry blossoms at Point Defiance Park. She knew of a dress designer that she thought would fit beautifully into my own portfolio, as her dresses were offbeat and one of a kind pieces for those brides who beat to their own drums. Dawn arranged to use a few of Wai-Ching Studio‘s dresses and searched for a model. When we were unable to find a suitable model to fit our vision, Chrissy stepped up to model her own designs. Talk about pressure…. Just kidding!

It’s quite apparent Dawn and Chrissy have worked together in the past; Dawn had communicated her vision to Chrissy flawlessly and Chrissy picked out the perfect dresses for Dawn’s Rock-N-Roll vision. As Dawn faux-hawked Chrissy’s gorgeous long locks, her vision came to life and stole my heart. Everything came together seamlessly, and I’m thrilled with the beautiful gowns, rockin hair and cherry blossom backgrounds for this incredible bridal session.

Seattle’s Wai-Ching Studio specializes in custom dresses, bridal gowns, bridesmaids dress and kimonos in some amazing color combinations. Chrissy brought the Zolotova Dress to be the main feature in this rock-n-roll bridal session. The Zolotova dress  features stunning 3D silk collaging throughout the skirt, satin roping throughout the torso, and a dramatic open lace up back. Wai-Ching Studio has recreated this dress on many occasions and in a variety of colors to suit each bride’s dream day.
