Rose Garden Engagement Session | Kaylynn & Eric

Kaylynn and Eric are two of those people; you know the ones whom you’re instantly family with when you meet them? Yeah, those ones. Of course, I knew before their Rose Garden engagement session that I’d feel this way with them. It just so happens they’re part of Nicole and Kevin’s crowd, which means they’re basically family already.

Since we’d originally met at Nicole and Kevin’s Browns Point Wedding, we instantly clicked with Kaylynn and Eric upon arrival. While the entire engagement session was a blast, it was quite hilarious to watch these two interact with Jake! As his first real shoot, they didn’t bother to let him off easy and gave him a bad time right along with me. All in good fun of course.

Rose Garden Engagement

When we arrived for their rose garden engagement, Jake and I were stuffing our faces with pizza from Mod, because we’d made dinner for our kids then jetted out and got stuck in traffic. Luckily I didn’t end up with a bunch of pesto on my face or anything, though it wouldn’t have been noticeable behind my mask. Lol.

We headed up the staircase near the boat launch, where we found beautiful mountain and ferry views. It gave us a chance to get warmed up, before we headed for the “real deal”. Eric admits he was nervous about getting photos, and that there are less than 10 photos in all his family albums. But our session was a lot of fun and he really stepped into his male model role!

Kaylynn and Eric’s original wedding fell victim to Covid like so many of the weddings that were planned for this year. Their original July date was moved to September, and thankfully the majority of their vendors were still available! I’m especially thankful as I’m a big fan of Nightmare Before Christmas and can’t wait to see how they combine this with Deadpool for a unique wedding theme!

This is one of those weddings I’ll be counting the days until it arrives. Congratulations Kaylynn and Eric! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
