Picking a venue is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make in the whole wedding planning process, and honestly, one of the most fun. The greater Seattle area is packed with gorgeous options, from historic ballrooms to working farms to hidden garden estates, and after years of photographing weddings all over the region, I’ve got a soft spot for quite a few of them.
Here are twelve of my favorites, spanning everything from intimate garden dinners to grand ballroom celebrations.
The Feather Ballroom – Snohomish
For the history lovers, the Feather Ballroom doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside it brings beautiful historic charm to the North Sound. Original 1906 details give it a unique vibe, and your guests are going to love the “sprung” dance floor. The last of its kind west of the Mississippi, the coils beneath the floor make it feel like you’re floating when large groups are dancing. Be sure to bring your party shoes.
The Great Hall at Union Station – Seattle
This historic 1910 train station in Pioneer Square is one of the most iconic wedding backdrops in the city. The champagne and gold color scheme is accented with beautiful green subway tiles tying the historic building to the Emerald City. With the ability to accommodate up to 500 guests, you can host the wedding of your dreams within its walls, complete with a barrel-vaulted ceiling and hundreds of twinkling lights overhead.
Westland Distillery – Seattle (21+)
A little more rustic, Westland Distillery boasts a private event space with exposed original wood beams and an attached cask room. Located in SODO, this venue provides a more intimate setting for your guests. Gorgeous furnishings make the inside cozy, while ample street parking and a nearby pay lot are paramount for the area. Worth noting: they book private events on a more limited basis these days, so if this one catches your eye, reach out early.
The Corson Building – Seattle
The most intimate of settings, it’s hard to believe this place is technically in the city. Located in Georgetown, the building (originally constructed as a home) features a unique experience for those who enter the front door. The private dining area seats up to 35 guests, while the summer months allow use of the outdoor patio, making the venue perfect for smaller weddings of around 80 guests. Working with clients to tailor menus, the Corson Building’s team strives to create dishes inspired by the seasons and using locally sourced ingredients. It’s the perfect pick for those wanting an intimate, food-forward celebration.
Lairmont Manor – Bellingham
You’re gonna find romance at Lairmont Manor. The Italian Renaissance style estate is over a century old and features an intimate feel to this extraordinary venue. Original details curated during construction include vaulted ceilings, decorative wrought iron and wood paneling. Surrounded by incredible award winning gardens, Lairmont Manor is sure to steal the hearts of all who visit.
Lord Hill Farms (All Inclusive) – Snohomish
The all inclusive Lord Hill Farms is sure to be a crowd pleaser. With the ability to host weddings year-round, indoor ceremonies included, it’s a beautiful venue during all seasons. Multiple options for ceremony sites make this a one size fits all venue. Plus the 12 hour rental period gives ample time for set up and tear down.
Trinity Tree Farm Lodge – Issaquah
Who doesn’t love a good tree farm wedding? Don’t answer that until you check out Trinity Tree Farm. With views of Mount Rainier, Tiger and Squak Mountain, the property offers two distinct venues: the rustic Barn, with its cozy Log Cabin and Loft getting-ready spaces, and the contemporary Lodge, with a romantic bridal suite and its own private deck. It’s the perfect place for a beautiful celebration with the feeling of being at home, and it’s popular enough now that they’re already booking into 2027.
Rainier Chapter House – Seattle
Designed by a well-respected Seattle architect, Daniel Riggs Huntington, this gorgeous house is located on the northwest slope of Capitol Hill. Built in 1925, the home is still serving its original purpose as a meeting place and venue for private, public and non-profit events. Beautiful architectural details surround the house, give way to a clean color palette and decorated with period furniture throughout the interior.
Georgetown Ballroom – Seattle
This warehouse garage turned amazing wedding venue is probably one of the most unique venues on this list. Celebrate your marriage with up to 300 of your closest friends and family. With two adjoining spaces and two mezzanines, your guests will have room to roam and mingle while you soak in your first moments as a married couple.
Great Hall at Green Lake – Seattle
If a neutral palette is your style, the Great Hall at Green Lake is going to be your “go to” for a classy wedding. Their open catering policy lets you make this event completely your own. Want Grandma’s goulash for dinner? No problem. Prefer high end catering? No problem there either. Bring whoever you want and make the day yours.
Laurel Creek Manor – Sumner
Would you believe I personally kept hogs on this property? Before it became a wedding venue in 2004, it was home to the barn where Sumner High School’s FFA students kept their animals. Today it’s owned by Kirsten and Aaron, who’ve poured their hearts into keeping the estate exactly as magical as it was meant to be. From the beautifully landscaped gardens to the exquisite European details, the love that’s been given to this old manor really shines through.
Brickstone Ballroom – Vancouver, WA
If you’re game to travel a bit away from the northern part of the state, Vancouver hosts the beautiful Brickstone Ballroom. Located on the third floor of the Historic Elks Building, Brickstone Ballroom features beautiful large arched windows that make a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding gown (no matter the color) and is every photographer’s dream for those perfectly lit detail shots.
