Echo Falls Golf Club Wedding | Heidi + Brad

Sometimes it takes us what feels like a million years to find true love (sometimes we’re dreaming of a beautiful Echo Falls Golf Club Wedding). For some lucky ones, they just happened to walk into a bar one day, and fifteen years later marry the love of their life. That’s exactly what happened to Brad, and their wedding was incredibly beautiful on so many levels.

Echo Falls Golf Club Wedding

It all started in a bar

Almost twelve years ago, Brad was sitting in a bar unknowing the future Mrs. Sourbeer was also in the Cashmere bar. This was Heidi’s “bar” and her group of friends knew everyone there. Everyone except Brad. So of course, she had to meet the handsome newcomer and thanks to one of her girlfriends yelling at him from across the bar. Turns out he was “technically” single (aka. getting divorced) and they exchanged numbers. The rest is history.

Both Heidi + Brad had been married before, with marriages that lasted over 20 years. But Heidi’s first marriage began with a Justice of the Peace and only a few people present. When Brad proposed with the ring he’d been working on for over a month, she was so thrilled and forgot to say yes. So he had to ask her again.

An Echo Falls Golf Club Wedding

Heidi + Brad chose to get married in Snohomish with a big celebration including their closest family and friends. With five kids, several grandkids and a bunch of chosen family between them, it was bound to be a party! Heidi, her daughters and grand daughters were having a blast in the bridal suite when my team arrived. The bridal suite featured a beautiful table where we were able to photograph their details and they would later sign their marriage license before sharing a fireball shot.

Brad arrived shortly before their first look and everyone was ready to go. It seemed like everything was going to happen without any snags! Of course, no wedding is complete without a little excitement, and Heidi + Brad’s didn’t disappoint. About 5 minutes before their first look, everyone’s cell phones started clanging… The Bolt Creek Fire had spread and an evacuation notice was sent to everyone within a 25 mile radius BY ACCIDENT! Can you believe they came west of the mountains to avoid the September Smokey Season, and then they not only got smoke and ash… but an accidental evacuation notice. It’s definitely a story to tell the great grandkids (since you know, their grandkids were there and witnessed it first hand haha!).

A wedding well deserved

Heidi + Brad waited a long time to tie the knot, through thick and thin. Watching these two so in love, made my heart sing. They truly adore each other and it shows in all of their actions. To be honest, it was like being present at the wedding of my “adopted” mom. Heidi treats everyone who comes in contact with her like they’re family. I loved being a part of their wedding and getting to have a little bit of Heidi in my life too. It’s easy to see why Brad fell for this incredible woman.

Heidi + Brad,

Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of photographing your special day. I can’t wait to see where your adventures take you. Congratulations and best wishes on many happy years of marriage!
