Jenny + Albert | Engaged!

Early this spring, we had a booth for the Barn at Wilson Farm open house. I had a session that day, but Jake was able to stay and meet some new friends. Jenny and Albert were one of the couples he met that day and they loved him. We were so excited when they chose us to be their wedding photographers.

Being that their wedding was only a few short months away, we wanted to get their engagement session in as soon as possible. Yet, here in the PNW the weather is really hit or miss. I swear there are mornings that it’s pouring down rain, only to have the afternoon be 80 degrees and sunny that same day. It’s not uncommon to have 4 seasons in less than 12 hours. But I digress….

We wanted to get their engagement session done asap, so I sent over a few ideas for Jenny. One of those ideas was to use Studio 253 in Tacoma which is right down the street from the creative Opera Alley. Jenny + Albert were game for this, as long as they could bring their puppers, Cookie. I love pups, so I enthusiastically said yes!

We started with some outdoor portraits since the day was a bit overcast and threatening rain. I love Opera Alley for its bright colors and creative backdrops. This particular area of Tacoma is beautiful and unique. When the rain eventually started, we headed inside for a more traditional studio feel. Of course, even the traditional vibe leaves room for fun, and a pillow fight ensued!

These two were a blast during their session and it’s a blessing to call them friends!
