Devon + Garrett | Engaged!
The overwhelming joy of getting to photograph friends weddings is unmeasurable. This year I was able to photograph the wedding of not one childhood friend, but TWO! Devon is the daughter of my across the street neighbor, and one of the neighborhood kids I grew up with. We’ve been connected for as long as I can remember, and we both watched as the other got married and divorced within a few years of each other. (I actually have a photo of me holding Emi and Devon’s eldest son. Emi was MAD I was touching another baby. Haha!).
Jake and I love Devon + Garrett (especially together!). When they contacted me about photographing their wedding, I was previously booked for both their preferred dates. But Garrett was determined to figure out how to have us as their wedding photographers, and they changed their date to fit our schedule! I can’t explain how much this means to our small business.
Of course, when Devon and I scheduled their engagement session, she only had one request: we had to include her truck. I’m a sucker for things with wheels, so this was a no-brainer for me. We originally planned to do photos in a nearby town, but she came up with the idea of doing them on their property. It was worth it.
