The Santa Experience 2025 at Studio 253
Every family has those holiday traditions that make the season extra special, like baking cookies, watching Christmas movies, or pulling out those well-loved decorations year after year. For me, the traditional Santa Experience started a little differently. Back when I was a single mom, my daughter wanted nothing more than to meet Santa. But when the big moment came, her excitement would melt into hysterical tears the second she saw him in person. My heart ached watching her shift into a terrified toddler, and I knew there had to be a way to create something more magical; something that felt safe, cozy, and personal. That spark of determination to make Santa feel approachable for her planted the seed for what would eventually become our Santa Experience.
How the Santa Experience Began
My “find the perfect Santa” mission turned into so much more than I ever expected. Instead of being a simple “hire a Santa” and hit post moment, it led me to Jake (yes, that Jake, who’s now both my husband and business partner). Together, we hosted our very first Santa Party back in 2013, and honestly, it was pure magic. Families gathered, kids laughed, and we realized we had stumbled into something that would grow into a beloved holiday tradition.
After life tossed us some twists and turns, I relaunched our Santa Experience in 2015 with my dad and have been bringing Santa back year after year. Eventually, Jake took the part of Santa back in 2020 during the height of the pandemic and has been getting to know the kids ever since. The best parts? Kids light up when Santa remembers them from past years or when they sneak a knowing smile, realizing who might be behind the beard. It’s these moments that make the tradition so special.
The 2025 Santa Experience at Studio 253
This year, we’re beyond excited to host our Santa Experience right here at Studio 253 in Tacoma this holiday season. We’ll be hosting two dates: Friday, November 28th and Saturday, December 6th. Both dates are evening times, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm (earlier times might be opened after all slots are filled).
Here’s what you can expect:
✨ 25 minutes of magic: plenty of time for family portraits, Santa’s grand entrance, and unforgettable candid moments.
✨ Authentic connection: Santa takes his time, whether that’s reading a favorite book, listening to wish lists, or sharing cookies and laughter.
✨ Stress-free environment: we encourage kids to bring along a favorite toy, stuffed animal, or book to help them warm up and feel comfortable.
Every child’s experience is different, and we love letting their personalities shine through, whether they’re shy, silly, or ready to chat Santa’s ear off about every item on their wish list.

The Santa Experience at Studio 253 takes place on Friday, November 28th, 2025, and Saturday, December 6th from 4 pm to 8 pm. Your $250 session fee (tax included) includes:
🎄 A 25-minute Santa Experience session
🎄 A full gallery of digital images (about 25–30)
🎄 Digital downloads with personal use rights
🎄 A $50 product credit for holiday cards or prints
To reserve your spot, we require a $50 retainer and signed contract, with the balance due three days before your session. Note: We know the holidays this year are hard for many due to the recent government shutdown. If this has effected you, and you need a payment plan or to take part in our “pay what you can” program, please reach out. We have limited sessions available to ensure every child has a chance for a magical moment with Santa.
