Spring Brookstom Creek Wedding | Rachael & Josh

Life has a tendency to take us in directions we never imagined. Take Josh and Rachael for example. Rachael admitted she never thought she would get married and hadn’t day dreamed about her wedding day before she was engaged. But she met Josh at work and one day everything just clicked. They were having family photos taken after their youngest daughter was born, when she turned around to find Josh with a ring. Their Spring Brookstom Creek Wedding turned out to be a perfect day.

A laid back Spring Brookstom Creek Wedding

Wanting a laid back vibe for their wedding, they chose to have a Spring Brookstom Creek Wedding in Buckley. I may be a bit biased, but the team at Brookstom is AMAZEBALLS for the laid back bride. Angie and Patty helped Rachael put together the wedding of her dreams and made her day effortless for her.

Mimosas, tacos and partying, oh my!

The brides crew started their day in the custom bridal suite with a smorgasbord of goodies and mimosas to get the party started. The brides hair and makeup team did an amazing job of getting everyone ready and Rachael looked stunning when I arrived (even before she put her dress on). My team and I gathered the details and set out to photograph them in the hot sun, while the girls relaxed in the air conditioned bridal suite.

Sweet Spring First Look

One of the things Rachael mentioned during the planning process was how she wanted a first look. She said Josh had never seen her dressed up, so she wanted those few moments together to soak it all in. Their first look was one of my favorites. To say Josh looked stunned is an understatement. Though he held it together really well, it was obvious he was overwhelmed with how beautiful Rachael looked.

Skipping through the ceremony

The couple’s Spring Brookstom Creek Wedding ceremony was just perfection. Their friend served as the officiant, which is always a wonderful honor. Of course, he was just as excited about this union as the couple, and the result was he may have missed a page or two in his script. The best part though is it never matters when something is forgotten. It just means you get married faster. For Rachael and Josh, this was perfect and they got to skip ahead to their first kiss as husband and wife.

A Wonderful Wedding Season

This was my first wedding of the season at Brookstom Creek and I’m honored to be shooting a total of 9 more wonderful weddings there this year. It’s always a pleasure to work with the crew, and I love meeting the brides and grooms who pick them (and me) during the year.
