Bertelsen Winery in Mt Vernon | PhotoLush 2019

Bertelsen Winery was the perfect backdrop for this breakout

It’s not every day that you meet soulmates, but at Bertelsen Winery in Mt Vernon, that’s exactly what happened. While attending Photolush 2019, I was able to participate in a breakout lead by Jamie of Jamie Buckley Photography. He’d photographed a few couples for his No Bits But Butts project and I’d seen these two sweethearts on his instagram. Dustin, Brandon, Seth & Cameron were kind enough to trust our group with their couples session and I enjoyed every minute of it!

Dustin & Brandon

Both Dustin and Brandon are super charming, with Dustin being the more outgoing of the two. When a group member requested we photograph them inside an old rundown barn, Dustin immediately assured us that he had his tetanus updated. The fastest way to my heart is through humor, so I was immediately smitten. The session wasn’t long, but during that time you could really see the love these two share. Dustin excitedly told us about their first date to his favorite restaurant and the Phantom of the Opera. Brandon mentioned how the restaurant was his least favorite, but he chose it because Dustin loved it. Seeing the way Dustin smiled at him during this session nearly brought me to tears.

Seth & Cameron

Seth and Cameron were up next, and these two were such a blast. They goofed around and showed off their dance moves for our group. I didn’t get as much time to chat with them, but they excitedly told our group about their upcoming wedding.

Talyn, Ally & Opal

Our final couple arrived a bit late, and I’m hoping to get in touch with them in the near future to schedule a second session. Talyn, Ally and sweet Opal, kindly modeled for us as long as possible, even though it was a bit nerve wracking to have 9 people with cameras pointed at you.

I am so thankful that Jamie took the time to share his knowledge with us, and look forward to next years PhotoLush!
