Feature Friday: Altimeter Cabin Wedding Venue

By now, I’m willing to bet you’ve seen all the times I’ve mentioned Altimeter Cabin. (If you’re out of the loop, check here, here, here and most recently here). It’s our favorite getaway spot and the perfect spot for your elopement or VERY intimate cabin wedding!

Weddings at Altimeter Cabin

I’ve loved getting to watch this venue “grow” over the past year. Seeing everything come together to create a truly one of a kind venue makes my heart sing. When I first visited Altimeter Cabin, I knew it was a diamond in the rough. It was still in progress and the owner, Andrea, was pouring her soul into making it shine.

They’ve recently begun putting the finishing touches on the cedar bath house and the vintage trailer. We were able to tour both during our last visit and I’m head over heels in love! Imagine, your groom and his best guys, getting some guy time with a deck of cards and their favorite libations before your wedding. Meanwhile, you and your gals will have privacy in the cabin, without worrying about interruptions.

A Unique Rental Experience

Imagine an entire weekend with your besties. As adults, we don’t get them often enough and your cabin wedding should be as unique as you are! At Altimeter Cabin, you aren’t restricted by a 10 am to 10 pm timeframe. Your rental comes with two nights in the cabin and one full event day! Pop your friends tents at the four naturally landscaped tent sites and let the shenanigans begin.

Whether you choose to set up your ceremony on the Paradise Dance Floor area, or wander off into the trees for a more natural feel, Altimeter Cabin doesn’t disappoint! There are plenty of beautiful spots for your ceremony, and even more for the party after. The Mountain Pavilion boasts a beautiful raw edge table with seating for at least twelve (more if you use the ends!). In the event you need more seating, the Paradise dance floor can serve as extra dining space.

Whatever your heart desires is possible out here in the wild. Set up a hot cocoa bar with different mix ins (dark chocolate, caramel and plenty of whipped cream!). For the ultimate camping wedding experience, be sure to include a smores bar! I’m personally a sucker for Rollos and Reeses cups in my smores.

Your wedding at Altimeter Cabin will be a perfect memory, no matter if it’s just the two of you, or a group of your best friends. Be sure to check them out when you’re looking for intimate locations to plan the perfect wedding day!
