Rachel & Nik | Orting Farm Engagement

Rachel and Nik were my last engagement session of 2019 and yet, 2020 came in with a bang leaving me hanging on for dear life! I feel like I haven’t shared enough of these two lovebirds but getting to know them was a blast. I always love when couples jump at the chance to have their Orting Farm Engagement at my EXCLUSIVE location. So of course, I was stoked when Rachel and Nik were game to do so as well!

Rachel and Nik are counting down the days until their 2020 wedding, but that didn’t stop us from sharing a few laughs. They told me about their first date:
Nik took Rachel fishing (something she’d never done before) up in the mountains. While there was some disagreement about the number of fish that were caught, they both agreed that Rachel was the winner. Nik claimed beginners luck (which I’m pretty sure would be my husband’s excuse too) but I’m willing to bet Rachel is just that good. Their “fish off” first date was the beginning of a true love story.

Like most of my couples, their personalities really shined at their Orting Farm engagement session. For those who haven’t gotten my engagement email, it holds a bunch of recommendations based on what past couples have worn. Many lean towards more pastel colors, but Rachel texted me asking if I thought a red floral dress would work. She sent photos and we collaborated on their outfits to find the perfect combination. I’m totally in love with what she settled on and it was pure love from the get go.

Now the two of them run a bar in Seattle together, though they work different shifts! I’m super excited to witness their August wedding and celebrate their love this year! I’m blessed to have such amazing couples put their trust in me on their wedding days! Congratulations Rachel and Nik! I’m looking forward to your celebration in August!
