Hellyer Center Wedding

Northwest Trek Hellyer Center Weddings

It’s quite amazing how many different wedding venues are hidden around corners or in places we’d never have expected. Take the Northwest Trek Hellyer Center Wedding Venue for example. I can’t count the number of times I’ve visited Northwest Trek as a kid (or an adult with kids). Until last year, I didn’t realize that nestled in the trees was a dream wedding venue. How cool is it to be able to go behind the scenes at this incredible nature park? It’s even cooler to be married in your favorite place on earth.

The VIP Experience

From the moment you and your guests arrive at the Northwest Trek Hellyer Center, you’ll feel like VIPs. Shuttles with your guides arrive at the front entrance to the nature park, ready to take you to a place few have seen. At first, it feels like you’re driving the wrong direction, but then they turn and take you down a “maintenance vehicles only” route. Two humongous gates stand between you and your destination, but the guides are super careful to only open one at a time. It starts to feel like one of the Jurassic Park movies as you slowly enter the free roaming area. A third gate and you’re inside the Northwest Trek Hellyer Center Wedding Venue.

Northwest Trek Hellyer Center Weddings with a View

This beautiful area gives you views of the passing trams, wild roaming buffalo and a waterfront ceremony space. There is literally nothing else I can think of to ask for when looking for a dream venue. Beautiful Bridal quarters are off to one side, making it easy for you to get ready without being seen by your guests. The grooms quarters, ceremony and reception spaces are in the middle, with a large kitchen and indoor space in case of rain. Off to the other side is a beautiful honeymoon suite, with kitchenette for late night snacking.

Secluded romance at Northwest Trek

The only real downside to this place is the seclusion. Once guests are in, they stay in (except in emergency cases obviously) and when the shuttles are ready to leave, you’d better be packed up and ready to send things out with them. 😉
